Hey! My name is Malika, but you can call me Mika. 

 

I am a passionate filmmaker with 4 years of experience, ranging from commercials and social media content to working on big sets. I am well versed in both: working in a team and on my own. I love the unity and collaboration on a set; how everyone works like a mechanism for a mutual goal, and personally that is where my interest lies the most, to be a part of a crew working on films much bigger than myself. However, I am also interested in short form content and can provide a full videography service, from idea to the final output, covering both shooting and editing. 

 

 Apart from my experience in the field, I also have a completed Bachelor Degree in Film and 2 year animation program, giving me in depth knowledge and insight on the modern approaches within the industry. During my time in university, I have lead and directed numerous projects, from which my teamwork and leadership skills have sparked. To this day, I continue to work on my own ideas, films and passion projects, allowing my creativity and imagination to flourish.

I praise art in all forms. Creating is important to me, so I always continue learning new ways to express myself. That is how I got into acting and dancing, and acquired skills in drawing, painting, writing and photography. Further in my portfolio, you can see the wide range of work I have already done, but know, that there is much more I can do given the chance.
